Etisalat gives computers to enhance ICT literacy in Zaria

ETISALAT has contributed 30 desktop computers to improve Communication and Information Technology education in the Nuhu Bamali Primary School, Fadi Sanka community in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The telecommunications firm presented the school direction headed by the Headmistress, Hajia Asmau Mohammed Lawan, during a recent commissioning of facilities Nigerian which also comprise blocks of renovated school buildings with the computers.

In her remarks, the Headmistress of the school, Hajia Asmau Mohammed Lawan, commended Etisalat Nigeria for the computers which use is expected will go a lengthy way in giving the students the cutting edge instruction needed to prepare them for their individual career paths. Dikko, who also noted that ICT instruction is getting a fundamental part of learning due to its attendant advantages, added if pupils in secondary and primary schools are exposed to it that the state would benefit most.

Dignitaries at the commissioning include the Kaduna State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Shehu Usman Adamu,; Chairman, Kaduna State Basic Instruction Board, Shuaibu Dabo; Chairman Zaria Local Government Region, Jafaru Abbas, Magajin Garu Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamali and members of the Zaria Emirate council.
